Police Track Shooting Suspect to South Raymond Home

SEATTLE – The Valero gas station located in the Brighton neighborhood was the site of a shooting early this morning, after a man was shot in his face.

Komo News reports that police and medics responded to the shooting scene, in the 7300 block of Rainier Avenue South, at about 9:10 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired.

Medics discovered the man, who is in his 30’s, with a bullet wound to his face. The victim, who has yet to be identified, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center and is believed to be in critical condition.

Preliminary reports indicate the suspect engaged in an altercation with the victim at the gas station, prior to the suspect firing his gun at the victim.

Investigators have tracked the suspect to the 4600 block of South Raymond Street, and are currently involved in a standoff with him.
