Rainier Valley Radio to Begin Streaming Next Week

After more than a year of planning community radio station KVRU 105.7FM Rainier Valley Radio will begin streaming this week and will be going FM in 2017! KVRU.org

KVRU is encouraging musicians to please submit any Mp3’s  of their work to kzmusicmedia@gmail.com to be put into the station’s rotation.

KVRU is now training community members to host their own shows by offering FREE Radio and Video Broadcast & Tech Skills Training at the South Seattle Economic Development Community Center-EDCC: 3642 33rd Ave South, Suite C5, Seattle, WA 98118

Basic Computer Literacy classes
* 4 Saturday Sessions, 10:30-noon
* June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25

Communications, Social/Digital, Radio and Broadcast – Class A
* 5 Thursday Sessions, 2:00 – 3:30pm
* June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23, June 30

Communications, Social/Digital, Radio and Broadcast – Class B
* 5 Friday Sessions, 6-7:30pm
* June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1

Basics of DJing, Radio and Broadcast
* 5 Wednesday Sessions, 2:00 – 3:30pm
* June 1, June 8, June 15, June 22, June 29

Basics of Journalism, Reporting, Radio, and Broadcast
* 5 Saturdays, 1:30-3:00pm
