Community: CARW Workshop: White Queers and Allies Against Police ExpansionDetails: The Coalition of Anti-Racist Whites (CARW) is holding a public workshop geared towards white queers and allies that want to deepen their involvement in the campaign to stop the City’s proposed building of the $160 million police precinct and to deny the proposal to hire two hundred new police officers. We will review histories of why we work for racial justice as well as a detailed outline of the current campaign. All participants will have a way to plug in and take action. Food: Latin Cooking Classes at El Centro De La RazaDetails: Class will begin promptly at 10:00 AM in the kitchen at El Centro de la Raza.
