Food: Vegetarian Tamale Making ClassDetails: Due to the success of our tamale classes and the generosity of our volunteers, we able to respond to the requests to hold a vegetarian tamale class! Now is your chance to learn how to make tamales from a master tamalera! Vegetarian Tamale Class are held on select Saturdays from 10 AM – 12:30 PM. We currently have 2016 classes scheduled for February 27th, May 21st, August 27th, November 5th.The class focuses on the traditional preparation of two types of authentic veggie tamales: Cheese & Jalapenos and Vegan Mole and Potato wrapped in banana leaf. The tamales are prepared in the handmade and traditional fashion using cultural ingredients.
