Music: Industrial Revelation –Details: The popular Seattle quartet Industrial Revelation has earned a reputation for combining jazz, hip hop, electronica and other styles in music that has cross-cultural and multi-generational appeal. The band was formed ten years ago, when all four were either students at Cornish, playing with or studying with noted saxophonist Hadley Caliman (Santana/Grateful Dead/Dexter Gordon), or both. Led by drummer D’Vonne Lewis, with Ahamefule J. Oluo on trumpet, Josh Rawlings, piano and electric keyboards and Evan Flory-Barnes on bass, the group plays with intensity and urgency, but cools to a quiet simmer for soulful ballads. All four compose and arrange music for the quartet.
