The Seattle Police Department has publicly released a sketch of a potential suspect in the fatal shooting of South Seattle resident My-Linh Nguyen.

The 45 year-old mother of two was killed on December 15 during an attempted purse snatching near 39th Avenue South and South Warsaw Street while walking home from a bus stop.

The sketch released by SPD is of a Black male, wearing a Seahawks knitted cap on his head. An SPD spokesman said the suspect is believed to be around 5-feet-8 and 160 pounds.

Police additionally released a still photo from video-surveillance footage showing a dark-colored SUV believed they believed is linked to the case.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call the homicide tip line at 206-233-5000.

A Go Fund Me page in Nguyen’s honor has raised more than $22,000 to assist her family.
