Filipino Community of Seattle

“As always, this is a free community event with a Filipino dinner buffet for a suggested donation as well as a fundraising raffle. The Filipino Community Center is an access center with free programs (ie, STEAM, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Art – yes, Art, for website development, visioning and composition – and Math) for youth and activities for elderly (ie, Zumba) that serves the Rainier Valley – Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike. 2019 expansion plans (groundbreaking scheduled in June) includes 98 affordable senior housing units and expanded state-of-the-art STEAM lab with classrooms and meeting rooms. We hope to see you all March 30th from 5-9 PM!

“Join Ambassador Stories on March 30, 2019 from 1-6p as we celebrate womxn who bring soul to Seattle! During this Marketplace and expo the community will have an opportunity to purchase goods from Seattle-based small businesses exclusively owned by womxn of color. They will also have an opportunity to watch three short documentary films and witness a panel discussion with small business owners. Attendees will connect with small business resources and learn more about what it takes to run a small business in the Emerald City!
