Northwest Tap Connection students, staff, their families, friends, and the community didn’t let a little rain deter them from having a great time celebrating National Tap Dance Day Saturday May 25 at Northwest Tap Connection’s dance studio on Rainier Avenue.
People gathered under tents and awnings and watched as Northwest Tap students and instructors danced to live music by the Emerald Jazz Ensemble. When the weather became a problem, they brought the party in to the dance school and the audience enjoyed a performance by the Zambuko Marimba ensemble and watched the students perform. When the sun finally came out, everyone went outside and continued to dance.
