“In partnership with University of Washington’s School of Social Work, this community dialogue series invites and highlights voices and ideas from across the black diaspora on important topics that inform the individual and collective black experience. September’s session is entitled: Keeping Us Together: Examining Mental Health and Wellbeing through a Black Lens. It will be a moderated conversation that includes the voices of performing artists, mental health professionals, spiritual and body workers, writers, authors and more from across the northwest. Georgetown Beer Festival in Seattle’s Original Brewing District
“The inaugural Georgetown Beer Festival celebrates the abundance of craft brewers in Seattle’s south end. As the ancestral home of Rainier Beer – once the 6th largest brewery in the country – Georgetown is our region’s original brewing district. The diverse offerings available at this event continue that tradition. This festival, at the colorful Georgetown Trailer Park Mall, features a diverse selection of boutique beer from Counterbalance Brewing, Elysian Brewing, Flying Lion Brewing, Future Primitive Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Ghostfish Brewing, Jellyfish Brewing, Lowercase Brewing, Machine House Brewing, Perihelion Brewery, Seapine Brewing, and Tin Dog Brewing. Tickets redeemable for beverages are available on site. ($3 each or 10 for $25) The festival is restricted to ages 21 and over with valid ID.

Gabby Rivera – Juliet Takes a Breath
