1. Annual December Native Art Market
“Join us for our annual Native art market and gift fair this holiday season! Free and open to the public, this event features local vendors and Native makers and artists showcasing goods including wood carvings, bead work, drums, prints, paintings, and more. Grab some fry bread and hot coffee and escape the Seattle winter for two weekends in November and December to find the perfect gifts for family, friends, or yourself!”

As a part of our Black Dot Talks series, Gifted will be sharing lessons from his journey growing up in Newark, NJ, working in corporate America, transitioning to education, building a media company to inspire Black youth and creating Khem Fest platforms for Black comic books and content, as well as leading the revitalization of the only high school in the nation named for the late Malcolm X.”

Safe Neighborhood Pathwayz in Rainier Beach
“What up Rainier Beach neighborhood! Join RBAC and other Rainier Beach public safety practitioners as we acknowledge people and organizations who have contributed to safety and crime reduction in the Rainier Beach neighborhood in 2019.
“We will be introducing a new program funded by a Seattle Foundation’s Vibrant Democracy Engagement Pipeline grant called YATTA Rising (YATTA is an acronym for ‘young adults transitioning to adulthood’). YATTA Rising has an aim to enhance young adult well being through leadership development and public safety system change. Young adults coordinating the work will participate in a panel that reveals their feelings about the work and the challenges they face living in Seattle’s Southend community.
“Your attendance is important as they are looking for allies to help in this work. Come to help celebrate public safety wins including the 30% reduction of crime in RB. See you there and in the neighborhood.” Hosted by Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RABC).
