The event was sponsored by the MLK Business Association, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, South Seattle Emerald, Homesight, OnBoard Othello, UW Commons, Office of Arts & Culture, Assembly 118, and The Grocery, and was coordinated by Cafe Red and Artist Coalition for Equitable Development.

Talk about what we liked and absolutely did not like about our choices. Every book club member will win a free book to keep, and one lucky member will leave the meeting with a book autographed by the author! Meets the last Friday of every month.”

More than 800 people visited the Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands Saturday, July 21, for the inaugural Farm Fest, a celebration and opportunity to see some of the improvements Seattle’s largest urban farm has gone through over the last year following the construction of a new kitchen, office, and classroom spaces and updates to the farm and nature trail.
