Take it Outside: Beacon Hill Pizza Cart Brings Years of Experience to Local Pies

Just like postal workers, “neither snow, nor rain, nor heat” will stop Chris Lally of Outsider Pizza from slinging slices. He’s fearless in the face of any weather condition. It’s sort of a requirement of owning your own pizza cart that is stationed in the windy courtyard of Beacon Hill’s El Centro de la Raza. His strategic setup includes wind shielding and careful clothing selection. It helps him weather the storm, as it were, and focus on the important things: his pies.

A 10-Year Marination Makes for a Meaty Anniversary Celebration

On June 19, Marination Mobile celebrated its 10th anniversary with a few hundred of its closest friends. The packed parking lot full of revelers outside of Columbia City’s Super Six was treated to Marination’s well-crafted sliders and tacos.

The Liberty Bank Building is the first ever black-owned bank west of the Mississippi. It’s now the heart of South Seattle’s revitalization and a beacon for the community. It’s in this building that Kristi Brown will make her first run at owning a brick and mortar.
