Thurs., July 11:

Close the concentration camps now!

“Over the past months we have witnessed the brutality that refugees and the displaced have faced at the hands of this administration. We have seen and heard the reports of children sleeping on concrete floors, locked in cages and denied basic human rights. This is not a protest about political issues but one about moral responsibilities. The severe overcrowding and denial of basic needs like food, beds, soap, showers and medical care are unacceptable.

“Today hundreds of children are still waiting to be reunited with their families. They are living in detention centers facing psychological and physical trauma. Since Trump took office we have lost 24 people including 6 children and many more injustices. This not the world we want to live in!!? What side of history do we want to stand on? Follow us @El Comite, get informed about what is happening and teach, share, protest ACT. We are asking that all of the people who care to come out and join us this Thursday at 5pm at Westlake Park.

Time: 5–7 p.m.
