Having been quarantined at my 100 year old mother’s apartment for 14 days, the pandemic became a bit too real. After a COVID scare, all residents/staff/caregivers were tested; we’re all negative, but testing senior complexes is a priority.
I am staying home calling, emailing and Facebooking as many diverse people with stories to tell. Thanks to my sister, I have a wardrobe of masks made from T-shirts; don’t leave home without them. Eating immune boosting foods, supporting ethnic café take-out/delivery, and walking around enjoying signs of spring. Out loud statement of gratitude, contacting an old friend, and having a good laugh each day is important. Today it’s taking this selfie, which is ridiculous for a senior with arthritic fingers!
