Community: Rainier Beach Back 2 School BashDetails:The Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) formally Rainier Beach Community Empowerment Coalition (RBCEC) and Rainier Beach Moving Forward (RBMF) in partnership with residents and dozens of organizations from the neighborhood will sponsor the 13th Annual Rainier Beach Back 2 School Bash (B2SB). The purpose of this event is the same it has been since the first one in 2003 – to affirm the greatness within each child and connect them to community and education. This event has a rich history of strengthening community support for education, providing services to families in need and getting people involved in neighborhood projects. Music: Urban Mix 101 presented by Itech 4 Life SolutionsDetails: An intro to the fundamentals of Digital Audio Recording and Music production. Students will be familiarized with the Protools(DigiDesign) work environment as well as the Reasons workspace. Students will also be introduced to an analog mixing console and learn how the digital and analog systems correlate in a typical recording environment. WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER AND BE UNITED AS ONE AGAINST injustice ,racism,oppression,police brutality and get JUSTICE FOR Freddie gray,Mike Brown,Tamir Rice,Tony Robison,Sandra Bland and hundreds of other unarmed people of color KILLED BY POLICE. Community: Neighborhood BBQ Mount BakerDetails: Mount Baker neighbors are closing down Mount Baker Boulevard south of McClellan and inviting the whole neighborhood out for a Sunday BBQ. They’ll be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. (Yes, there’ll be veggie options!). Please bring a potluck dish to share.
